Titus Batts and DeSonni Hardge serve as co-captains of the South Shore Drill Team, a non-profit in Chicago utilizing performance art to uplift disenfranchised youth. In a city too often overshadowed by stories of violence and crime, these two boys are proving that the camaraderie forged in drill routines is more resilient than the societal divisions present on the streets. Through their leadership and example, they are illustrating to their communities that unity and shared passion can triumph over adversity, offering a ray of optimism in challenging times.
